10 Feb The Freedom That Can Come from Following the Path of Least Resistance
What if we lived on the premise that there are no mistakes and that everything that is trying to happen to us is right and perfect in ways that will be revealed when the time is right, and when we are ready to become aware of the truth about that part our journey. Our job is not to create a plan and follow it, but to allow for our divine plan to lead the way by not resisting it.
The path of least resistance is about choosing to not resist what is happening with complete ease in your life – even if what is happening with ease is not what you had planned in any way, shape, or form. Many of us fight for what we think we want. Most of the time we believe that if we can only get what we want – we will be happy.
The thing I want you to consider is that your Higher Self (also referred to as your super conscious mind, the part of you that is connected to divinity and to universal source energy) is constantly attempting to point you towards this path of least resistance – which really is the path to living in alignment with your truth, your purpose and your potential.
What does it look like, this path of least resistance?
Oh, it’s painted with ease and grace and when you choose it – everything just seems to fall into place. Another sign you are following the path of least resistance is there is always some noticeable amount of synchronicity that marks the path like symbols on trees of a hiking trail. You know you are following it, and you didn’t step off the path when you see this synchronicity show up again and again.
It could be a symbol, a name, a song, a color, really anything that holds meaning to you.
“Synchronicity is an ever-present reality for those who have eyes to see.” -Carl Jung
If you find yourself unable to recall any type of synchronicity on your path and you also find yourself resistant to change and doing anything outside of your grand plan then you may be leading your life in Ego.
Your ego is the part of you that designed the grand plan, the part of you that hates change and resists it at all costs. Your ego will fight tooth and nail to protect the grand plan and weaves a million stories about the doom that would come of your life if you deviated from the grand plan. These stories are false and only developed out of fear that has developed and built up within your conscious mind from your subconscious mind where all of the energy from your past experiences are stored.
Basically you are making “safe” decisions based on what’s happened in your past without any care or attention to the possibility of changing past patterns.
It’s helpful to be mindful of if you are keeping yourself safe from harm or if you are keeping yourself safe from the freedom and the joy that comes when you stop resisting and just allow for the potential greatness that could unfold in your life along the path of least resistance.
